CX.com was a cloud storage app that let people quickly sync and access their files across desktop and mobile devices. Originally the app was designed to mimic an OS file storage system with a traditional folder structure. As part of a strategic shift, we decided to focus specifically on media files. I redesigned the web app to let users consume their files in a rich interface that would support the different media types.
All files including non-media files are shown in a list with a traditional file structure.
A left navigation allows for more focus on the user's content in the main panel, which can scale and scroll.
When files are selected, the upload button changes to a download button.
